Hi! I am Valerie.

When I look back at my journey, I see a number of unconventional, unexpected and maybe crazy leaps.
Some were bold – leaving Apple to join a unicorn scale-up that eventually crashed.
Some were aspirational – leaving Paris and moving my family to Miami.
Some I had no clue what I was doing – leaving the Engineering path to become a Recruiter (I never looked back).
Some were imposed and not chosen – being laid off as the internet bubble burst.
Some were painful – leaving my husband after a lifetime of experiences and creation together.
Whether fast and exciting, to slow and painful, or any combination in between, those periods of my life were chaos.
Yet each of them was pure transformation.
Even in emotional agony or pits of uncertainty, I felt a world of possibilities ahead, and I was scared. Not because of what I was leaving behind, but by what I could create moving forward.
I believe we must fall in love with chaos, become so good at it that we create the chaos that serves us – the one that scares us because of how stronger and more fulfilled we will be on the other side. To quote Nietzsche, the one that helps us “become who we are”. Capacity for Chaos is just that.
